North Orange County Surf Report & Forecast

Surf Forecast Brief Outlook: THURSDAY: A reinforcing push of short to mid period WNW-NW swell moves in, with minor NW windswell and new/minor SW swell mixing in. The better exposures will hang mainly around the waist high zone (2-3'+) throughout the day. Select winter magnets will produce occasional waves/peaks up to chest-shoulder high (4'+), which will be most prominent during the more favorable tide windows. WEATHER/WIND: Calm to light/variable wind in the morning, along with a marine layer and patchy fog in some areas. Then a moderate onshore WSW veering West seabreeze will gradually develop in the afternoon, with skies becoming mostly clear/sunny. Watch for the wind to possibly back off some in the late afternoon/evening around the Newport area.
