Surf Forecast Brief Outlook: SATURDAY: Slow build of new NW windswell and groundswell mix. Small South-SSW swell. Look for peaky 1-2' occasional thigh-waist high surf all day for the better breaks. A deep high tide will swamp things out for many areas in the morning. Unfavorable conditions prevail with WNW flow all day. WIND/WEATHER: Light-moderate WNW winds in the morning become moderate-breezy into the afternoon. Mostly clear/sunny skies.
SURF FORECAST SOCAL on FRIDAY: Small blend of fading NW swell-mix and SSW swell this morning with mostly 1-2-3' surf across the region at the better breaks. Some spots were either flat or close to it, especially on the high tide. Select NW standouts of San Diego produced occasional waves up to 4'. Conditions this morning were clean with calm to light offshore wind as a seabreeze prevails this afternoon. New long-period and steep angled NW groundswell is starting to creep in this afternoon. Brief Outlook: Look for a rise of small NW swell-mix on Saturday with a peak on Sunday as a weak South Hemi continues. Expect unfavorable onshore flow for Saturday as Sunday morning cleans up with calm to light offshore wind. Check the forecast for further details and the longer range outlook!
