Kauai North Surf Report & Forecast

Surf Forecast Brief Outlook: : Easing WNW-NW swell. The better exposed spots of Kauai continue to offer chest-head high surf, while select winter reefs produce occasional waves/peaks up to 1-2' overhead in the morning (biggest early). Expect a gradual decline of NW energy through the day. Meanwhile, ENE tradeswell/chop offers mixed up waist-head high waves at standout tradeswell exposed spots of the island (strongest on the Wailua side). However, onshore flow prevails at those easterly exposures for generally poor conditions. : Breezy ENE Trades rising up for the day, starting out light+ early. Partly cloudy skies. The current WNW-NW swell eases over Friday and into Saturday. Then another NW pulse moves in on the weekend. More NW swell lining up for next week as well. Meanwhile, moderate ENE tradeswell and steady easterly trade winds prevail for the next few days. Check the full premium forecast for more details and the longer range outlook.
