North Orange County Surf Report & Forecast

Surf Forecast Brief Outlook: THURSDAY - Mix of small SSW swell and increased NW windswell for knee-waist-chest high surf at the better breaks. Standout spots, primarily from the HB area southward see shoulder high and slightly larger sets at times. Fairly peaky off the swell mix, but bump in the morning due to south wind. WEATHER/WIND - Southerly wind in the morning 5-8kts+ and bump. SW/WSW wind 7-10kts in the afternoon. Worst Bet: Very small for Seal and Sunset Beach areas with the SSW swell being blocked by the offshore islands and very little of the short period windswell getting into the area. Breaks exposed to the south wind (most of the region, unfortunately). Modest SSW swell on tap for the next couple days with small NW windswell mixing in at times. SURF FORECAST NW windswell continued today as SSW swell was fading. Many spots worked the swell mix for 2-3'+ surf, while best combo spots picked up shoulder high and inconsistent larger sets.
