South Los Angeles Surf Report & Forecast

Surf Forecast Brief Outlook: FRIDAY - New SW-SSW swell fills in as smaller NW windswell mixes in. Most better breaks are in the waist-chest high zone, while the best SW and combo exposed breaks through the northern half of the south bay are running a little larger on the better sets. WEATHER/WIND - Light ESE-SE winds early, shifting more Southerly through the morning. In the afternoon a Westerly sea-breeze picks up 6-10kts. Worst Bet: Onshore flow in the afternoon. Early morning high tide slows some spots. Fun-zone run of Southern Hemi groundswell prevails through the weekend, with modest NW windswell energy mixing in. Conditions look okay. Check out the Premium Forecast for all the details!
SURF FORECAST A decent-size, but generally pretty poor conditions-wise, combo of continued Southern Hemi groundswell and NW windswell prevailed across Southern California on Thursday. Southerly AM flow and an early high tide were problematic for most areas, with onshore flow continuing into the afternoon. Size was steady in the waist-chest-head high range for better combo exposures, while good breaks offered some overhead sets. Standout combo focal points/windswell magnets were running 1-2' overhead on the best waves/peaks. Check out the Premium Forecast for all the details.
